Management
The Director of the State Construction Control Bureau of Latvia is Mrs. Svetlana Mjakuškina
Structure
The State Construction Control Bureau is headed by the director who has a deputy. The Bureau also has three departments and six independent divisions.
Areas of activity
The Bureau monitors quality and safety in the field of construction, as well as administers energy policy in accordance with the competence specified in regulatory enactments.
Administration of Building Information System
The Building Information System (BIS) is a public portal which ensures information exchange among the persons participating in the construction process.
Certification of construction experts
The Bureau provides certification of construction experts and supervision of permanent practice.
Dealing with applications and complaints
The Bureau deals with applications and complaints of legal/ physical persons.
Information to the public
The Bureau organizes informative seminars for local governments, municipal construction boards, construction companies and construction specialists, as well as other members of the construction process.
Inspection and supervision of buildings
The Bureau ensures inspection and operational supervision of public buildings for safety of public and guests in Latvia.
State control of construction works and commissioning of buildings
The Bureau performs control and acceptance of construction works for certain types of structures.
